After 3 extremely dry summers and regularly recurring torrential thunderstorms, climate change has also become a reality in the general public‘s consciousness. The FridaysForFuture movement exemplifies a change in society‘s perception of climate change, but also the dramatic nature of its consequences, especially in metropolitan areas.

Philipp Sattler

*1966, landscape gardener apprenticeship in Munich, studied landscape architecture at the TU Berlin and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Paysage in Versailles (F). After years of practice in Berlin planning offices, he has been working as an independent landscape architect in Berlin since 2001.

Visiting professor at the University of Kassel, among others.

Chairman of the DGGL Berlin-Brandenburg and vice chairman of the bdla Berlin/Brandenburg. 2017 to 2019 head of the DGGL project "Network Garden & People".

Since January 2019, managing director of the Green City Foundation in Berlin.

Since February 2020 also managing director of the "Initiativbündnis Historische Gärten im Klimawandel".
