ELCA CoF Excursion in Brno 30/05/24 - 02/06/24

ELCA's first CoF Excursion of 2024 will take place in Brno, Czech Republic. 

Welcome to Brno and South Moravia!

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to Brno and South Moravia!

We chose Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic, as the centre of the excursion. Why?

• Brno is the kind of city that, once you visit, you will want to go back over and over again. And the same can be said for the region of South Moravia.
• The South Moravian capital perfectly combines history, modern architecture, culture and busy nightlife in original bars.
• Mendel University in Brno (MENDELU), where many of us studied, has a long tradition of excellence in teaching and research that has driven new ways of thinking since 1919 and proudly bears the name of Gregor Johann Mendel, the founder of modern genetics.
• Our association is located in Brno, where it has its office in a very interesting place, which we want to show you.
• The revitalization of the park on Moravské náměstí in Brno won the Park of the Year 2023 competition among thirty entries.

For our excursion programme, we have selected several interesting projects, ranging from modern to historical landscapes and from public spaces to private gardens.

You will also visit Lednice, where the centre of university education in the field of garden and landscape design is located, and where there is also a unique historical park under UNESCO protection.

We look forward to meeting you, sharing experiences and spending time together.

Participation:

Participation in the two-day excursion programme on Friday 31st May and Saturday 1st June 2024 costs € 550* per person.

Participation in optional programme on Sunday 2nd June costs 75 €  per person.

We also offer you the opportunity for the diner in the Passage Hotel on Thursday 30th May 2024 at 7:30 pm. The costs of this welcome dinner are covered by ELCA.

Deadline for registration is 30th April 2024.
